Woven in Aichi, Japan with Italian hemp yarn and a rare cotton-and-reed blend yarn, using an original structure that combines three twill constructions. Alternating warp-face and weft-face sections create a distinct three-dimensional stripe across the surface.

The yarns are dyed before weaving, then individually overdyed by hand to layer the color and build greater depth and nuance. The result is a highly tactile fabric defined by the interplay of color, structure, and dimension.
